Work — Vol. 01
Speculative
& R&D
The studio launched in 2026, so everything here is self-initiated. We wrote the briefs, set the constraints and held ourselves to the deadline. No client engagement is implied by any project below.
Each entry documents the brief, the approach and what actually came out of it — including the parts that did not work.

Monolith Atlas
Identity system for a fictional deep-space cartography agency
The brief
We set ourselves a constraint: design an identity that stays legible when it is printed one centimetre wide and when it is projected forty metres tall. The fictional client — an agency that maps objects nobody has photographed — gave us licence to make the system feel measured rather than decorative.
Approach
- 01Drew a single-stroke alphabet where every letter shares one radius, so the wordmark reads as one continuous instrument reading.
- 02Built a coordinate grid that generates a unique cover per publication from real right-ascension / declination values.
- 03Specified a two-ink print system — ink black plus one fluorescent — to keep production cost flat across formats.
Outcome
A 96-page identity manual, a variable display cut in three weights, and a generative cover tool that produces an unrepeatable chart for every issue.
